Mayor Prize to young talents was founded in 1993 for encouragement of talented youth of the city who proved in various fields of activity and contributed to development of Krasnoyarsk.
Since 2002, Mayor Prize has been awarded in several nominations:
• "For significant achievements in scientific and educational activity" - to young scientists, students and post-graduate students;
• "For significant achievements in the field of education" – to pupils of general educational institutions;
• "For significant achievements in the field of culture and arts" - to winners and laureates of regional, All-Russian and international competitions and festivals;
• "For significant achievements in sports activity" - to prize-winners of regional, All-Russian and international sports competitions;
• "For significant achievements in public and professional work" - to leaders of youth public associations and organizations, as well as to young men who have proved professionalism in various fields of activity.
