1902, December - the first issue of the paper Sibirskie vrachebnye vedomosti (Siberian Medical Gazette) edited by Alexander I. Smirnov.

1905, December 10 - the first issue of the Bolshevist paper Krasnoyarskiy rabochiy (Krasnoyarsk Workman).

1905, December 15 - the first issue of the Krasnoyarsk magazine for pupils Svetoch.

1908, March 19 - the Society for Studying Siberia and Its Way of Life was opened.

1908, June 30 - fall of the Tungus meteorite.

1908, August 28 - Krasnoyarsk Municipal Duma passed a resolution to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the great Russian writer Lev Tolstoy's birth.

1910, December 20 - Krasnoyarsk Duma passed a resolution on foundation of a Sunday school and a library named after Lev Tolstoy in the Zakachinskaya settlement in memory of the great Russian writer.

1912, September 4-7 - the first congress of doctors of the Yenisei Province was held in Krasnoyarsk.

1913, September 1 - the first issue of the magazine Sibirskaja derevnja (Siberian Village).

1915, January 15 - the first issue of the magazine Vestnik krasnoyarskogo gorodskogo obschestvennogo upravleniya (Krasnoyarsk Municipal Public Government Bulletin).

1916, May 7 - the first Jewish pogrom in the Eastern Siberia occurred in Krasnoyarsk.

1920, April 5 - the first musical school for children was established in Krasnoyarsk.

1920, May 1 - the Krasnoyarsk School of Arts was opened.

1920, May 20 - the first communist subbotnik was held in Krasnoyarsk.

1925, March - the Stolby National park (with an area of 47 200 hectares) and Dynamo Sports Society were founded.

1927, November 22 - the Krasnoyarsk Committee for the Assistance to Small Nations of Siberian outlying districts was founded at the Yenisey Gubispolkom (Provincial Executive Committee).

1928, February - the Krasnoyarsk radio broadcasting was initiated.

1930, November 7 - the Siberian Timber Institute was opened.

1931, the Krasnoyarsk River College was opened.

1932, July 1 - the first 16-seater omnibus route from the Starobazarnaya square to the Railway station was started.

1934, January 1 - construction of Krasmashzavod, the first mechanical engineering enterprise in the city was started.

1935, August 10 - construction of the Krasnoyarsk ship-building plant was started.

1935, January 20 - the Lenin Regional Scientific Library was opened. The Regional Scientific-Methodical Centre of Arts and Crafts and Cultural-Educational Activity was founded.

1936 - the first issue of the newspaper Krasnoyarsky komsomolets.

1936, April - the Krasnoyarsk Regional Book Publishing House was established.

1936, June 20 - the Dynamo stadium was opened.

1941, April 14 - the first issue of the Yenisey almanac.

1941, November - the Bezhitsky Locomotive Works "Krasny Profintern" (Sibtyazhmash) which had been evacuated to Krasnoyarsk began working.

1942, the Krasnoyarsk Harvesting Machines Plant, formed on the basis of the evacuated Zaporozhsky Harvesting Machines Plant and the Lyuberetsky Agricultural Machines Building Plant, was put into operation.

1942, November - the Krasnoyarsk Machine-Building Technical School was opened.

1942, September - the first steam locomotive of the series Sergo Ordzhonikidze was made at the Plant Sibtyazhmash.

1944, May - the City Palace of Pioneers and Schoolchildren was opened.

1944, October 26 - beginning of production of the first Krasnoyarsk pull-type harvesting machines.

1945 - the Krasnoyarsk Cement Works was put into operation.

1945, July 1 - the Krasnoyarsk Municipal Department of Culture was founded.

1946, - Vesna cinema was opened in Krasnoyarsk.

1946, July 1 - the construction of the Artificial Fibre Plant was started.

1946, June 5 - the Krasnoyarsk branch of the RSFSR Union of Writers was established.

1948, the Surikov Museum was opened.

1952, construction of the River station was completed.

1956, the main avenue on the right bank of the city was named after the Krasnoyarsky Rabochy newspaper.

1956, January 24 - construction of the Krasnoyarsk Piano Plant was initiated.

1956, February 10 - the Siberian State Design Scientific Research Institute (Sibtsvetniiproekt) was opened.

1956, May - the editorial board of the Krasnoyarsky Rabochy newspaper was awarded with the Labour Red Banner Order.

1956, June 16 - construction of tram- and trolleybus lines was initiated.

1956, October 13 - the Siberian Scientific-Research Forestry Institute was founded.

1957, the Kirensky’s Institute of Physics was founded.

1957, May - the Artificial Fibre Plant was put into operation.

1958, May 1 - the Krasnoyarsk Silk Factory was put into operation. The first tram route along Krasnoyarsky Rabochy avenue was established.

1959, February - the Regional Children’s Library was opened.

1960, February 9 - the Krasnoyarsk Musical Comedy Theatre was opened.

1961, August 10 - the Krasnoyarsk State Academic Dance Company of Siberia was established at the Regional Philharmonic Society.

1961, September - the first cubic meter of concrete was put into the foundation of the Krasnoyarsk Hydro Power Station.

1961, October 17 - a new railway station received its first passengers.

1961, November 15 - the municipal bridge over the Yenisey River was put into operation.

1964, April - the Lenin Komsomol Young Spectator Theatre was opened.

1971, Sovetsky district of Krasnoyarsk was formed.

1971, December 18 - construction of the Krasnoyarsk Automobile Trailers Plant was started.

1973, January 20 - a new building for the circus was opened.

1973, August 14 - the first issue of the paper Krasnoyarskaya nedelya - a weekly advertising and informational appendix to the Krasnoyarsky Rabochy newspaper.

1977, March 25 - ceremonial opening of Dom Techniky.

1979 - the memorial monument "Kandal'ny put'" (Walking in shackles) by sculptor Yu. Ishkhanov, and architect A. Demirkhanov was opened.

1981 - branch of the USSR Academy of Sciences was established; Zheleznodorozhny district of the city was formed.

1983, September - the memorial board - dedicated to I.T. Savenkov, a Siberian scientist - was opened.

1983, November 11 - the Surikov’s Art Museum was opened.


1983, November - the Krasnoyarsk organization of the RSFSR Union of Composers was founded.

1984, December - the monument to teachers, workers and students of the Krasnoyarsk Pedagogical Institute that died in the Great Patriotic war was opened.

1985 - the Bolshoi Concert Hall on Strelka was opened.

1986 - Oktyabr stereoscopic cinema theatre was opened.

1986, February - preparation works for the construction of the Krasnoyarsk underground were initiated.

1987 - the Oktyabrsky bridge over the Yenisey River (length - 5000m, width - 41m) was put into operation.

1987, April 17 - the Krasnoyarsk Art Institute was opened.

1988, April 6 - the Siberian-Far East branch of the USSR Academy of Fine Arts was opened.

1988, April 22 - a memorial board dedicated to academician Leonid V. Kirensky was opened at the Pedagogical Institute.

1989, June 19 - the new Ekskavatorstroy Palace of sports was opened in the city's Zelyonaya Roscha district.

1991 – Ivan Yarygin's International Free-Style Wrestling Tournament was held in Krasnoyarsk for the first time.

1992, January 16 - the Metropolitan of Novosibirsk and Barnaul Gideon consecrated Pokrovskaya Church. It became a working orthodox temple again.

1993, April 2 - regular flights from Krasnoyarsk to Moscow by IL-86 airbus were initiated.

1996 – construction of metro was started.
