1822, December 12 - the governor-general of East Siberia, A. Lavinsky established the Yenisey Province.

1823, March 16 - Mikhail K. Sidorov, a famous explorer of the Russian North and the Eastern Siberia, Krasnoyarsk gold miner, patron and scientist – was born.

1823, the Znamensky glass-works was established.

1831, August 16 - the monument to Nikolay P. Rezanov, one of the founders of the Russian-American Company, was opened in Krasnoyarsk.

1832, November 13 – Nikolay V. Latkin, a specialist in local lore, author of the books The Krasnoyarsk District of the Yenisey Province (1890), The Yenisey Province, its Past and Present (1892), etc., was born. He died on February 17, 1904 in St. Petersburg.

1840, Gennady V. Yudin, a famous Krasnoyarsk patron, bibliophile, and owner of a unique library, was born.

1845, July 15 - foundation of the Holy Mother Christmas Cathedral took place in Krasnoyarsk. Its construction was finished only in September 1861.

1847, May 22 - the Vladimirsky orphanage was opened in Krasnoyarsk.

1848, January 12 (24) - Great Russian artist Vasily I. Surikov was born in Krasnoyarsk.

1849, November 5 (October 23) - Decembrist Mikhail Ph. Mitkov died in Krasnoyarsk.

1855, October 25 - Decembrist Vasily L. Davydov died in Krasnoyarsk.

1856, January 26 (February 7) - famous Siberian physician, director of the Krasnoyarsk Public Library, publisher and the editor of Sibirskie vrachebnye vedomosti (Siberian Medical Gazette), the magazine Sibirskie zapiski (Siberian Memoirs) Vladimir M. Krutovsky was born in Krasnoyarsk.

1857, July 2 - the first issue of the newspaper Yeniseyskie gubernskie vedomosti (Yenisey Province Gazette).

1858, May 30 - the first earthquake was registered in Krasnoyarsk.

1859, January 16 - famous Siberian physician and public figure Pyotr N. Konovalov was born in Krasnoyarsk.

1861, May 25 - the Yenisey Eparchy was established in Krasnoyarsk.

1863, November 18 - the first telephone station was put into operation in Krasnoyarsk.

1868, July 1 - the Krasnoyarsk Province Men's Gymnasium was opened.

1869, August 21 – a women's school of the second grade was founded in Krasnoyarsk and then reorganized into the Krasnoyarsk Province Women's Gymnasium.

1870, November 4 - prominent Soviet politician Pyotr A. Krasikov was born in Krasnoyarsk.

1873, November 4 - the Teacher's Seminary was opened in Krasnoyarsk.

1874, February 26 (March 11) - famous Krasnoyarsk artist, student of V.Surikov - Dmitry I. Karatanov was born.

1874, February 27 - the Sinel'nikovskoe Charity Society was founded by decision of Krasnoyarsk merchants and citizens.

1874, June 18 - Schegoleva’s 2-form Vocational School was opened in Krasnoyarsk.

1881, April 6 - the Krasnoyarsk Municipal Duma passed a decree "On adoption of Measures for Extermination of Beggary in Krasnoyarsk".

1881, April 17-18 - a huge fire, which destroyed the majority of city buildings, occurred in Krasnoyarsk.

1883, October 28 - the Committee on Rendering Assistance to Migrants Living in Misery was founded in Krasnoyarsk.

1884, February 1 - the first issue of Yeniseyskie eparhial'nye vedomosti  (Yenisey Eparchy Gazette).

1884, November 14 - the Elementary Education Care Society began its educative activity in Krasnoyarsk.

1885, March 25 - a shelter for prisoners' children was opened at charge of the citizens of Krasnoyarsk.

1888, February 3 - Yemelyan F. Kudryavtsev opened a private printing house in Krasnoyarsk where in a year (under the pseudonym T.Chembarsky) the first scientific-journalistic book in our province under the title Articles, Notes and Sketches was issued.

1889, February 12 - the Museum of Regional Studies was opened in Krasnoyarsk.

1889, February 12 - a public city library was opened at charge of the Krasnoyarsk citizens.

1889, August 7 - a solar eclipse was observed in Krasnoyarsk from 9:30 a.m. till 12:27 a.m., i.e. 2 hours 57 minutes.

1890, October 10 - the ceremonial opening of the Imperial Moscow Agricultural Society department took place.

1891, February 5 - foundation of the Alexandrovskoye Jewish Charity Society in Krasnoyarsk.

1891, May 19 - the first stone was put by Tsesarevich Nikolay (a future Tsar Nikolay II) into the construction of the Great Siberian Railway in Vladivostok.

1894, July 24 - the Railroad School, then reorganized into the Railroad Training College, was opened in Krasnoyarsk.

1896, December 6 - the first train arrived at Krasnoyarsk railway station. On the occasion of this important historical event celebrations were arranged: a prayer was said, a banquet was given, and a ceremonial meeting was held in the Municipal Duma.

1898, January 2 - a mobile pedagogical museum was opened. It was founded by a teacher and specialist in local lore and folklore, Maria Vasil'evna Krasnozhenova.
