Kirovskiy district

​Kirovskiy district is the oldest district of the city.
District1.JPGFormerly, it was the largest district in Krasnoyarsk. It covered all area of the right bank, including the city of Divnogorsk and the settlement of Beryozovka. Later there was a separation of the Kirovskiy district into administrative areas. So Leninskiy district was formed in 1942. The city of Divnogorsk got its name in 1957 as the industrial community of builders at that time. Sverdlovskiy district was formed from the part of Kirovskiy district in 1977. 

Fair.JPGOn January 31, 1934 the Presidium of the  City Council adopted a resolution "About the establishment of district council on the right side of the Yenisei River". And on December 22, 1934 the urban area on the right bank of the Yenisei River was named after Kirov.

Today Kirovskiy district covers the central part of the right bank of the city, an area of 35 square kilometers. The boredrs of the district extend from Zatonskiy Street to the district of Neftebaza along the newspaper "Krasnoyarskiy Rabochiy" avenue; it includes the part of the settlement of Suvorov, the settlement of Montazhnikov, the part of the settlement of Vodnikov and the settlement of “Pervomaiskiy". The population of the district is 117,800 people, where the number of pensioners is over 30 thousand. More than 2 million square meters of housing are served in the district. Youth-Sq2.jpg

Each year the district is changing. New buildings, better social and recreational facilities play a paramount role for the developing of the district infrastructure. In spite of changes, Kirovskiy district will always be the first district on the right bank with its own history.
