Exhibition of Japanese dolls "Traditional dolls as an element of Japan's festive culture" dedicated to the cross-Year of Japan and Russia will be conducted from 1 to 15 September, 2018. The exhibition is aimed at popularizing Japanese culture in Krasnoyarsk. There will be an exposition of several dozens  of dolls, including: dolls - dancers, samurai dolls, folk toys, as well as festive kimonos for adults and children, accessories for clothes, hand fans, dishes, items related to tea ceremony and calligraphy.

There are dolls and toys in the life of each nation, but only in Japan since antiquity dolls and toys have become an important part of not only household, but also artistic culture. A folk toy in Japan is not necessarily the subject of the game - its role is much wider. Dolls were symbolic images of gods and people in ancient Japan. Toy in Japan is still used as an amulet, attracting good deities and guarding against evil spirits.
